100 Tops Gas Points ~ 1/20-1/26

This week at Tops you can earn a coupon at checkout for 100 gas points ($0.10 off per gallon) to jump start the next earning period for gas points that begins on January 27.  To earn the coupon you must spend $50 in a single transaction and redeem it next week before February 2.  The $50 total must be met after Tops store discounts but before coupons are taken off.  Not sure that I will be trying to get this coupon since I typically do most of my shopping while we are able to earn gas points but a nice bonus for a non-earning week.

Last Day to Earn Gas Points at Tops - What are Tops Gas Points?

Today is the last day to earn gas points for this earning period at Tops.  Any gas points you've earned remember to redeem them by January 26!  

This has been the best gas point earning period for me personally.  Last weekend for the first time I was able to get free gas!  With a discount of $3.80 off per gallon, I still had $0.20 off per gallon to use and after shopping this week I'm up to $1.60 off per gallon.

For anyone that isn't familiar with how Tops gas points work you can find information on their website here.  You must have a Tops card in order to earn points.  There are multiple ways to earn gas points.  I earn a majority of my gas points from using coupons.  Tops will give you 10 gas points per manufacturer coupon used up to 100 gas points per transaction.  I typically try to split my transactions up so that I don't use more than 10 coupons per transaction in order to maximize my gas points.  Something to note is that catalina coupons count as manufacturer coupons!  If you are using any Tops store coupons though they will not give you gas points.  Another great way to earn gas points fast is to take part in Tops promotions where you have to buy a certain amount of items to receive gas points.  For example this week they had a promotion on the front page of their ad to earn 200 gas points for buying 6 participating items.  You also will earn 1 gas point for every $1 spent.  An important thing to note is that Tops will count the value of your manufacturer coupons toward this amount.  Tops store coupons and any doubling from coupons will not count.
