Kroger Shopping Trip 6/15/2015

I wanted to stop into Kroger over the weekend but ended up not having time to so I stopped in today to pick up some things.  I did two transactions so I would get credit for both Kotex catalinas and for the Glad rebate on Ibotta.

In the first transaction I did not realize I had a digital coupon for the pizzas loaded onto my card so I handed the cashier three coupons.  One of the catalina coupons was printed poorly and the coupon would not scan the barcode so the cashier had the manually input it.  Since that was manually input the register took all three of my paper coupons with the digital coupon.

The Kimberly-Clark paper products ended up being a really good deal.  I love my Charmin but since I will be away for a month and my husband is not picky on toilet paper, I picked some up so he can use it.  Also we are going through toilet paper faster since Lily has been interested in potty training.  The $0.50 manufacturer coupon from 5/17 SS for the Cottonelle flushable cleansing clothes is valid on the 10ct package per Kimberly-Clark.  They consider that size a "travel" size and the coupon only excludes "trial" size so they said the coupon is valid to be used on the 10ct packs which is a cheap way to get up over the $20.00 mark to trigger the $5.00 catalina!

Computer Problems, Organizing Coupons

I have been very busy lately and have not been able to keep up with posting my shopping trips as I would like to.  My desktop is being repaired currently, some of my hardware gave out so I am waiting on new parts to come in so I can get back up and running with my own computer.  While my computer is being repaired I am sharing my husband's computer with him.  The other day when I was working on a few things my husband's computer stopped displaying after the power cut out briefly so that set me back on my postings as well.  I am going to try to go back and post my transactions from the past week or so that I have not had a chance to yet.

Some good news though, I found a few old zipper binders in my closet so I have been busy the past few days on rearranging and organizing my coupons and rain checks.  I decided to move all of my food coupons into the larger of the zipper binders I found and kept all of my non-food coupons in my blue binder.  The smaller zipper binder is only 1/2in so I plan on using that to hold my store coupons and rain checks.  I am still working on setting that up, I hope that everything will fit into it.

Target Shopping Trip 6/13/2015

I wanted to make a quick stop into Target to pick up a few things since the Cartwheel offers were expiring today.  My husband has been wanting to mix up some tea but we did not have a container to mix it in so I picked up some Rubbermaid containers for only $0.67 each!  I also picked up some Starbucks Iced Coffee which will be a moneymaker after the Ibotta rebates.  The cashier did not give me credit for my reusable bag in the first transaction so he gave me credit for two in my second transaction.

I made a quick stop into Rite Aid tonight to pick up some Reach items.  I was hoping to get some kid's toothbrushes but they were still out so I just picked up some of the adult toothbrushes and got a rain check for the kid's.  I also had a $3.00 catalina that was expiring today which made the transaction a slight moneymaker for me.

We made a quick stop into Harris Teeter to pick up my other weekend evic special.  I should have picked it up yesterday when I got the Belvita but I forgot to print the coupons.  My husband wanted some fries for dinner tonight and the Harris Teeter brand were on sale so we picked up some.

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 6/7/2015

Today was the last day to take advantage of the 30% off coupon!  I wanted to pick up some of the double packs of Clear hair care products.  I also had two Rite Aid coupons for Benefiber so I had planned on doing that deal as well but when my husband picked up the papers for me and I went searching in the SmartSource for the coupon, it was not there.  Our region did not get the coupon so that ruined one of my transactions a bit.

I was able to return and repurchase the Gillette razors I bought last Thursday on my bronze cards.  The manager that was at the store last week that helped do the return was not there and the manager that was had not done a Plenti point return previously.  The return was not going through and then they tried to do the return and repurchase with my other items in the same transaction and it made my total about $7 more than it should have been.  They voided out the transaction again and I stepped aside for another customer so they could checkout while the manager waited on a response from the other manager to figure out how we did the return last week.  She responded that returns need to be processed like a credit card transaction but that was not working so they offered to do a cash return instead and I said that was fine.  They hit the cash button and poof, the points went back onto my card and it ended the return transaction!

In total today I did four transactions at two different stores - had to find those Clear double packs!  Transactions 1 and 2 were the same, different cards.  Transactions 3 and 4 were only slightly different because I used $4 in catalinas on the fourth transaction, I forgot to use my $3 catalina on transaction 3.

Transaction #1-2 (Cards #1-2)

2 Clear Shampoo/Conditioner Bonus Pack ~ 30% off price $4.19 (shelf price $5.99)

I needed to stop into Kroger to pick up some of my Friday freebies because I had one about to expire.  We were also out of milk and since there are no sales on milk currently I used a rain check I got previously when milk was on sale for $1.99 a gallon.  (I had to wait to take my pictures since we had company, hence one of the milks was opened and partially used.)  I also had a best customer coupon for free Cheerios!

Harris Teeter Shopping Trip 6/6/2015

I made a quick stop into Harris Teeter to pick up my free Belvita!  Lily likes the bites and I thought they would be a great snack for the drive to New York in July so I asked the cashier if all the Belvita was included since the evic listed the soft bake.  She said all were included like last time so free snacks, woot!

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 6/6/2015

I made a run to Rite Aid today to finish up some deals for this week.  I had tracking from earlier in the week for Covergirl on a few of my cards so I wanted to pick up some more clearance nail polish.  I also wanted to finish maxing out Tresemme on my cards and do the Gillette/Venus deal on my last gold card.  Unfortunately I was not able to get a Venus razor at the last store I stopped in, they had a few two days ago when I was there but none tonight and it was too late for me to make a stop into another store on the way home to pick one up.

CVS Shopping Trip 6/6/2015

I needed to stop into CVS tonight because my ECBs were expiring.  When I was actively shopping at CVS before I had no problem with using my ECBs if they were a few days past expiration but when I tried a few weeks ago the associate gave me a hard time about me trying to use them so I wanted to avoid that again.  I am still trying to cash out of CVS to be done with them again so I picked up some Centrum vitamins which will be a moneymaker after the SavingStar rebates go through.  Excellent deal for me to turn some of my ECBs into cash.

I also picked up the Propel water since it was free.  I still was about $2.50 short of using my last expiring ECB so I just grabbed a small pack of Charmin toilet paper.  I thought I had a $0.75 coupon with me but unfortunately did not but decided it was the best thing for me to pick up since we are low on toilet paper anyways.  Yes, $3.00 is expensive for a small 4 pack but toilet paper is the one item we are brand loyal with so we typically have to pay a bit more but we save enough on other items to offset.

1 Charmin Ultra Strong 4ct ~ sale price $3.00 (shelf price $4.49)
Cost: $3.00

1 Propel Electrolyte Water 25.4oz ~ sale price $1.25 (shelf price $1.67)

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 6/5/2015

Today I received a 30% off coupon in my email.  I wish I had known these were coming out since I bought razors at shelf price last night on my bronze cards.  The cashier told me to bring them back so we can return and purchase again with the 30% discount so I will get about $6.00 back.

This 30% coupon is good for the whole weekend, Friday thru Sunday and being that it covers two different sales weeks I wanted to test if it could be use more than once per card.  Some of the 30% coupons only work once per card but this one is allowed to be used multiple times.  After my transaction I asked the manager to do another transaction to test the 30% coupon.  I used the same card and the 30% coupon worked again no problem!

I just did one transaction tonight.  Now that I know a bit more about the 30% coupon I can plan my transactions for the next two days.  I still need to pick up a razor and cartridge on my second gold card and finish up the Covergirl deal on that card since it has the most tracking.

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 6/4/2015

When at a Rite Aid a little bit further away from me I saw they still had some Gillette Men's Body cartridges on clearance for 50% off.  Since the coupons from the P&G require a razor and cartridge purchase I thought this would be a decent deal for me to do on my two non-gold cards if I bought a razor with each cartridge pack.  Transactions were the same just different cards.

Transactions #1-2

1 Gillette Body Cartridges 4ct ~ clearance price $9.14 (shelf price $18.29)
1 Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor 1ct ~ shelf price $9.99
