Changes to Rite Aid +UPs Continued

If you missed my first post about the changes to Rite Aid you can find that post here.

The manager I wanted to talk to on Sunday was working tonight so I was able to find out about the April 5th to April 11th ad.  She told me that there again were no +UP reward deals but that there was a P&G deal to get a $10 gas card when you spend $50.  She could not see the limit on the screen because the print was too small but I assume it is a limit of 1 because they have done gas card deals before.  So it might be a decent way to cash out a bit of +UPs because last time they were just prepaid cards that were able to used anywhere, not just at gas stations.

She also told me that all associates are being required to complete video training on "Plenti" by March 22nd.  The training is not available yet but she said she will tell me more once she is able to complete it.  She logged back into her Rite Aid account and showed me the document that stated the information about the training for "Plenti" and it said that it will be a point system and form of payment.

The document also had a change in there about the Wellness +Plus cards.  They will no longer be required in order to receive sale prices at Rite Aid.  It did not state that the cards are being taken away or becoming obsolete so she does not believe that Rite Aid is getting rid of the gold and silver discount levels.

Brian's Rite Aid Shopping Trip 3/9/2015

My intentions to go talk to the store manager about the Rite Aid were derailed when I woke up Sunday morning.  Lily is still working on getting over her stomach bug and unfortunately she shared it with me.  So I spent Sunday being very sick, recovering a bit today and Lily is still sick so I will not be going out today either.  We were out of milk and Lily needed another bottle of Pedialyte so I thought it was a good opportunity to spend some of my +UPs.  Since I was not feeling well enough Brian went to the store for me so the subtotal is a bit higher than usual.

Changes to Rite Aid +UPs

Finally made it out to Rite Aid tonight after getting back home to North Carolina.  I have been seeing people posting about +UPs going away at Rite Aid but I did not want to write anything about it until I was able to talk to the managers I know.  Tonight I was able to talk to them, neither of them knew anything about +UPs going away.

The first one I talked to though was very interested in learning more so she went into the computer to look up the ad for the week of March 29th to April 4th.  She confirmed for me that there are no +UPs in the ad.  We went through all the pages and there was nothing, no indication of a new program or anything.  So she sent a text to her store manager to see if he knew anything about upcoming changes but he did not know anything either.  All he knew of was a new payment system so he told her to log into her Rite Aid account and look at that.  She looked into that and told me there was a program coming called "Plenti" but it just looked like a new payment program and nothing else.  She asked me to come back on Sunday when she would be able to view the April 5th to April 11th ad so we could see what was in that ad.

The second manager I talked to had no idea that there were changes coming to Rite Aid either.  She said she was not surprised that changes were coming though but that it was odd there has been nothing official from Rite Aid about any changes.

So we will hopefully find out more on Sunday when I talk to the first manager again.  Until things do change though I plan on continuing to shop at Rite Aid like I have been.
