WalMart Shopping Trip 5/3/2015

We stopped into WalMart to pick up a few things.  I wanted to get some more Ragu pasta sauce since our Ibotta rebates reset.  I also needed to get a banana to get credit on my Ibotta account. For some reason Ibotta's system will not credit for bananas bought in BJ's since they are prepackaged.  I also wanted to price match Kroger's deal on the Mission tortillas to get the credit on Ibotta for that since it was a WalMart exclusive rebate.

When I asked to do the price match the manager said he had to check with his boss, came back and said they told him not since in the ad it states "with card" but gave them to me for $1.00 anyways.  He is the best manager in WalMart I have encountered and enjoy seeing him when I walk in.

We also found some more pizza dough on clearance and needed some whipped cream for strawberry shortcake.

After I got home and looked at my receipts I realized I was overcharged on the whipped cream by $0.50 and one of the pizza doughs rang full price instead of the clearance price.  The store is nearby so I went back and the manager saw me walk back in and came right over to see what was wrong.  The register was being a bit of a pain but I got $1.56 back!  I am upset I had to go back, that is why I normally double check my receipts before I leave but glad we were able to get it fixed.

Kmart Shopping Trip 5/3/2015

Sears and Kmart put $15.00 worth of surprise points in my account; one $5.00 reward usable on any purchase of $5.00 or more and clearance items were not excluded and one $10.00 reward usable on any purchase of $10.00 or more excluding clearance.  Lily needed some new shoes and clothes so we made a trip to Kmart to spend the points.  I also had some points in my account already from previously buying items so we got a pair of shoes and two shirts for her for free!

Harris Teeter Shopping Trip 5/2/2015

A new printable coupon showed up today for Speed Stick Gear deodorant so I wanted to go pick up a few more of the spray deodorants that I found on clearance.  Today is the first day that I had a problem using my $2 coupon on the clearance deodorants.  The cashier insisted that I should not receive the full value since I was only paying $1.93 per item but the manager put them through for $2 after I explained that the store will get the full value of the coupon and it would not give me a negative balance.  I bought other things in both transactions to use up the overage.  Previously the cashiers have not said anything about the coupons, they just asked a manager to input them since the clearance items are just tagged as mark downs.

I was also hoping they would have some of the Irish Spring Gear body washes since they had a truck come in last night but there were none of the shelf.  Since they told me yesterday they were willing to sub a regular Irish Spring body wash so I could use my coupon I grabbed those and a toothpaste to get the $3 instant savings.

Target Shopping Trip 5/2/2015

Some couponers in my area were talking about a great moneymaking deal on Huggies wipes at Target.  There is a catalina deal going on currently for Huggies diapers but the wipes are programmed to trigger the deal at Target for some reason.  This is believed to be an error and they could fix it at any time.

This morning I received a $2.50 off two Huggies diapers or wipes Target coupon and there is a cartwheel offer for 5% of Huggies wipes.  There is also an offer on Ibotta that included Huggies products as well for $3 back when you buy 3 items.

With all of these offers the Huggies wipes were a stock up price for me even without receiving the catalina back so I thought I would try the deal myself.  Thankfully after I bought 4 packages of wipes the $10 catalina printed for me!  So I took the wipes out to the car and went back in to do another transaction.  Only one breakdown and picture because both of the transactions were exactly the same.  I used my husband's phone to get the second Target mobile coupon.

Kroger Shopping Trip 5/1/2015

I am very excited about my trip to Kroger today!  I wanted to stop in to pick up some Mission tortillas because they are on sale for $1.00 this week.  They had a few carts in front with some clearance.  A few weeks ago I picked up an Easter basket for $0.25 and they had 3 baskets in one of the clearance carts.  I looked at the price on one of the multicolor baskets and it was $1.09!  Almost a month after Easter I thought that price must be wrong so I looked at the larger basket it was sitting in and the price on the larger multicolor basket was only $0.19.  A smaller pink basket was priced at only $0.05 so I put all three of the baskets into my cart and took them up to customer service to ask about the $1.09 basket.

The woman at customer service said she had to call her manager and the manager said to give me the basket for $0.10 because it was marked incorrectly!  So she put a new sticker for $0.10 over the $1.09 on the smaller multicolor and then wrote up another and stuck it on the larger multicolor basket!  So I got all 3 baskets for $0.25 when they normally cost $5.99 each!

As I was leaving customer service to get in line to check out I saw a $1.50 oyno catalina sitting on top of the trash!  I did not have enough items in my cart to use it so I went and picked up another package of tortillas to use it.  So thank you whoever threw out $1.50, it basically paid for my whole transaction!

I found another coupon for Gear Speed Stick deodorant and wanted to pick up another from the clearance bin.  I went through my catalina coupons and found one for Secret deodorant which was also on clearance.  I also picked up a few items from the Colgate-Palmolive deal that is going on this week and next.  They were out of Gear Irish Spring body wash but they are getting a truck in tonight and if they still do not have any tomorrow they told me I could sub a normal Irish Spring body wash to use my coupons since they expire tomorrow!
