Rite Aid Shopping Trip 11/11/2015

First trip to Rite Aid this week.  I will likely go out again Friday to pick up the rest of the items I want.  My favorite store just got the register system update so we had to scan my items and coupons prior to scanning my card.

I had coupons from an insert for the Right Guard deodorants but they scanned as no matching item even though they matched the deodorants I was buying.  My cashier manually entered them and then once my card was scanned I was surprised to see the Load2Card coupon work.  Generally I prefer to give the cashier a paper coupon because I do not trust the Load2Card coupons to work and since we scanned my card after I did not know that the Load2Card would work.

Getting Back to Couponing

I cannot believe four months have passed since my last post.  Life has been keeping me quite busy and I have not had time to do much shipping at all, nor have I had the motivation to do so.

Since my last post in June, I visited family in New York again for a month.  I am very thankful my husband was willing to be apart from Lily and I so that we could spend time with my aunt.  She had a stroke in January and discovered that she had cancer.  The doctor said she had 6 months to a year so I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.  It was very hard to leave in August, especially when I received a call a few weeks after we left that my aunt was back in the hospital and her health was declining fairly rapidly.  She was released and able to return home.

She passed away a couple weeks ago and it has been difficult some days to find the motivation to get my binders cleaned out, clip coupons and write lists.  Thankfully with the stockpile I had built up we have not needed to do much shopping the past month.  We are running out of some things now though and I have been trying to get back into my normal shopping routine.

This past weekend we all went shopping together and we were able to get some really great deals which gave me a bit of motivation to get things in order for Super Doubles at Harris Teeter this week.  I hope everyone has a great a week with Super Doubles and I will be posting my hauls as well as some Rite Aid transactions.

Kroger Shopping Trip 6/15/2015

I wanted to stop into Kroger over the weekend but ended up not having time to so I stopped in today to pick up some things.  I did two transactions so I would get credit for both Kotex catalinas and for the Glad rebate on Ibotta.

In the first transaction I did not realize I had a digital coupon for the pizzas loaded onto my card so I handed the cashier three coupons.  One of the catalina coupons was printed poorly and the coupon would not scan the barcode so the cashier had the manually input it.  Since that was manually input the register took all three of my paper coupons with the digital coupon.

The Kimberly-Clark paper products ended up being a really good deal.  I love my Charmin but since I will be away for a month and my husband is not picky on toilet paper, I picked some up so he can use it.  Also we are going through toilet paper faster since Lily has been interested in potty training.  The $0.50 manufacturer coupon from 5/17 SS for the Cottonelle flushable cleansing clothes is valid on the 10ct package per Kimberly-Clark.  They consider that size a "travel" size and the coupon only excludes "trial" size so they said the coupon is valid to be used on the 10ct packs which is a cheap way to get up over the $20.00 mark to trigger the $5.00 catalina!

Computer Problems, Organizing Coupons

I have been very busy lately and have not been able to keep up with posting my shopping trips as I would like to.  My desktop is being repaired currently, some of my hardware gave out so I am waiting on new parts to come in so I can get back up and running with my own computer.  While my computer is being repaired I am sharing my husband's computer with him.  The other day when I was working on a few things my husband's computer stopped displaying after the power cut out briefly so that set me back on my postings as well.  I am going to try to go back and post my transactions from the past week or so that I have not had a chance to yet.

Some good news though, I found a few old zipper binders in my closet so I have been busy the past few days on rearranging and organizing my coupons and rain checks.  I decided to move all of my food coupons into the larger of the zipper binders I found and kept all of my non-food coupons in my blue binder.  The smaller zipper binder is only 1/2in so I plan on using that to hold my store coupons and rain checks.  I am still working on setting that up, I hope that everything will fit into it.

Target Shopping Trip 6/13/2015

I wanted to make a quick stop into Target to pick up a few things since the Cartwheel offers were expiring today.  My husband has been wanting to mix up some tea but we did not have a container to mix it in so I picked up some Rubbermaid containers for only $0.67 each!  I also picked up some Starbucks Iced Coffee which will be a moneymaker after the Ibotta rebates.  The cashier did not give me credit for my reusable bag in the first transaction so he gave me credit for two in my second transaction.
