CVS Shopping Trip 4/7/2015

Late night run tonight because Lily wanted to take a long, late nap.  First stop was to CVS and I must say I cannot wait for Plenti at Rite Aid. Shopping at CVS just feels wrong to me. Especially when it takes 15minutes at the register because the cashier did not approve my store coupons so my total jumped up over $25 which I knew was wrong. In the end I lost out on my 25% cleanser coupon because she did not approve it I guess.  It would have only taken off about $0.50 but things like this just add to my frustration with shopping at CVS.  Anyways, 1 transaction, in hindsight I should have split it into 2 to make the register happy.

WalMart Shopping Trip 4/4/2015

I wanted to redeem the Ibotta rebates on our phones for eggs but the offer was no longer available for Target so I went to WalMart to price match the eggs.  According to the cashier WalMart has changed their policies regarding price matching so she had to verify with a manager first that she was allowed to do the price match for me.  The manager took the ad with him and said he needed to verify as well so I got to talk to the cashier for a bit.  She was very nice and apologized for the wait; she was just afraid of getting into trouble if she just rang up the price match which I understand.  The manager said that the eggs I picked up were the WalMart equivalent for Target so I was allowed the price match.  After the cashier rang up my transactions she asked if she could keep the ad for herself so she could buy some eggs before she went home so I left the ad with the cashier.

Kroger Shopping Trip 4/4/2015

Made a trip to Kroger to pick up some things for dinner tomorrow.  The store restocked on Gerber Breakfast Buddies and we even found a few Peach flavored in a clearance cart in the front of the store marked down to $0.40 each.  These did count toward the mega sale but no discount was given on them; the $0.50 per item mega sale discount did not come off.  I was disappointed when the transaction was over because I did not receive the (3) $1.00 catalinas that I was expecting.  Only the $3.00 catalina printed out so the $1.00 per 2 catalina must be over.  Thankfully since I was able to find 4 of them on clearance this was still a money maker for me even with receiving only the $3.00 catalina.

CVS Shopping Trip 4/4/2015

Quick stop into CVS as well.  Of course once again this week they did not have the items I was looking for and the magic coupon machine gave me no coupons.  The ones I received earlier this week were not useful at all for me.  I was hoping to at least pick up some NYC cosmetics but we could not find them.  I asked the cashier and she said that only certain stores carry that line and they were not one of them.  So I will be going back to Rite Aid this week then to spend my NYC cosmetic coupons on the clearance items that are left.  I was able to find the L'oreal mascaras that I was not able to find last Saturday so I picked those up.

I was not sure if the register would take both of my CVS coupons but it did.  One was for $5 off $15 cosmetic purchase and the other was for $2 off $6 mascara, nail polish, lipstick, foundation or blush.  So this was actually a moneymaker deal for me.

I earned enough points in my Swagbucks account to redeem for a $25 CVS gift card!  So I will be using the gift card instead of cash to pay for tax and any out of pocket not covered by my ECBs.  If you would like to learn about Swagbucks read my post and sign up here to start earning gift cards!
