I spent so much time in CVS trying to check out that I did not have enough time to stop in Rite Aid to shop. I still have about $13 to spend on my gift card and then I can be done with CVS again. I just cannot stand their register system and how the coupons ring up. Whenever I have a percentage off coupon it never works correctly. Yes, I do understand the percentage is only off of non-sale items and that is how I calculate it out but it never works properly still.
Then the system was throwing a fit with how many coupons I had saying I exceeded the limit. You can use a manufacturer coupon with a CVS coupon though and I only had 14 coupons and 16 items so how it could still say I was exceeding the limit I have no clue. But it was driving me nuts, the cashier could not even hand input any coupons when I was at the point that my total was $15.xx and I knew that was wrong, I should have owed $9.xx + tax which I was going to spend my $9 ECBs on that were expiring today. She finally got it to let her input a coupon and then it took off all of my CVS coupons and the total jumped back up. UGH! So she said all she could do was void the transaction and call the manager.
The manager came back up front and helped me check out. The system did the same thing with her and she said there was a change with the system where it will only take so many coupons which does not make sense. So she added up some of the coupons and put them in as one but still the system started kicking things off so she tried to override it and then the 30% coupon was only taking off a fraction of what it originally was so she input $6.50 to make up for that. Then the $4 off $10 shaving items and $2 off $6 nail polish kicked off so she input those and finally my total was below $10 but way below what I had expect. My total was $4.27 and with the amount of tax I could only use one of my $2 ECBs so I gave her that and she said that it would kick things off again. She scanned it and yup, there go all my CVS coupons again so she somehow got them all back without hand inputting anything and then all I owed was $0.88 in tax. How we ended up with me paying with a $2 ECB and only owing tax I do not know. CVS frustrates me!
I should have gotten an extra $0.99 back from Sally Hansen but one of the nail polishes was not ringing up as on sale for some reason and after all the hassle I had at the register I did not bother with it. I will just buy another nail polish tomorrow to finish maxing out the deal.
